Welcome to Happy Little Speech! I'm so glad you are here.
Happy Little Speech is a pediatric private practice that provides speech, language, & feeding therapy services for children on Cape Cod.
Our play-based services put the emphasis on the happy as we help your child learn, grow, and succeed....and have fun while doing it!
“Nothing lights up a child’s brain like play.” -Dr. Stuart Brown, M.D.
Happy Little Speech Therapist
Hi! I’m Audrey Motta-Wurst, CCC-SLP. I am a speech-language pathologist who assesses and treats a wide variety of pediatric diagnoses and difficulties, such as:
-
Feeding and swallowing
-
Picky eating
-
Articulation errors
-
Stuttering
-
Voice disorders
-
Early learning language development, and more
Your child & your family are my priority. I recognize that you know your child better than anyone and your involvement and dedication are crucial for their success. I support and educate parents, caregivers, and family members throughout the entire treatment process.
I strive to see your child for who they wholly are, rather than just look at the presenting area of concern. Treatment will always be specifically tailored to them.
I use trauma-informed and evidenced-based care when working with children and their families. I am a fierce advocate for children and believe they must be given the same respect, care, and empathy that adults are given.

How do I get started?Start by filling out the Contact Form below, and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
-
What areas do you service?In-office: 714 Main Street, Unit C, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675 In-home: specialized in-home therapy may be available, dependent on your location. You will be notified by your SLP if you are eligible for in-home visits. Teletherapy: services are available to all towns on Cape Cod as well as anywhere in the state of Massachusetts.
-
Do you take insurance? No. At this time all services are private pay only. This is to ensure the best care possible as we are not limited by the parameters of insurance, which limit frequency, type, and duration of services. However, Superbills are available to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
-
Can I submit a claim to insurance?Yes! For each visit you are provided with an itemized bill called a Superbill that includes all necessary information (including diagnostic and treatment codes) to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement varies on your insurance plan and is not guaranteed. *Please note: It is strongly recommended that you contact your insurance company before starting services to find out if you are eligible for reimbursement and what percentage of reimbursement your plan will provide.
-
Do I need a referral from my doctor? It is recommended that you obtain a referral from your doctor, although one is not required. Please note: insurance companies do require a referral from your doctor if you plan to submit a claim to your insurance.
-
What should I expect from the free initial consultation?Initial consultations function as short (approximately 20-30 minutes) screening sessions that take place via phone call or virtual format such as Zoom. Consultations allow your SLP to obtain an initial impression of your child’s skills and understand your concerns. If necessary, next steps involve either a comprehensive evaluation or parent coaching session(s) to create a home-program to monitor areas of concern.
-
If my child qualifies for therapy, how long does treatment typically last?Session length and the duration of treatment (how many months) is determined by the needs identified at the evaluation and subsequent treatment plan. This varies widely from child to child. Treatment sessions are typically 50 minutes and occur 1-2 times per week depending on your child's needs.
-
Can my child receive SLP services both privately and through the school district?Absolutely! Children can participate in services through Happy Little Speech in addition to school services. Happy Little Speech can also offer treatment to children who would benefit from speech services but may not qualify for school services due to the strict criteria needed to qualify.
